Saw this on the internet the other day and thought how nice and handy. Have an extra shoe organizer? Have minimal space in the garden? Want to keep things high and above ground from cats? Perfect solution here!

I do not have need for a herb garden but thought, what other use can a shoe organizer provide me of my special interest? Here are a few I could come up with.
- organizing kitchen tools ….spatulas in this pocket, metal spoons in another one…. skewers and chopsticks in one….tongs in another….you get the hint….in this household, there are kitchen pots and pans and tools and gadgets galore!
- child’s work area …..colored pencils, ruler, pencil box, hole punch, stapler……if the pockets are too deep, make adjustments by cutting part of the pocket out
- bathroom supplies ….hair dryer and other small hair appliances ….combs….brushes…..
- how about, one for the garden shed….small hand tools, bulb…whatever you call it, shovel, trowel, hand rake, pruner, gloves…… have many garden hand tools
- tools of any sort, pliers, screwdrivers, phillips and the slotted….
Well, you get the hint…..my being one who collects baskets, and hangs them on the wall, I sure can use a few shoe organizers to put behind doors or hang from a door.
Gee, now I wish I had a spare shoe organizer…..right now they are organizing my shoes….shoes I do not wear! ……hmmm, sounds like I have a new assignment!

shoe organizer turns herb garden
I just started this new blog site..not sure why, when I have so many and have only so much time…but life hacks….as one calls it now….is sorta how I live my day to day life! To me, it is being very resourceful and It Works! Sometimes there are modifications along the way, but it works for the moment!
Having a dog, kaley corgi, an escape artist, try to get into things not allowed her kind of pup, and a toddler kid who keeps me on my toes…I have to be smarter than them (I try) and quicker than them and always think better solutions to living in a very small apartment.

hmm, what can i use this for???
So this is my place to share with you, my life hacks….and what life hacks I find that I think you will find possibly worthy and useful, and if not that, at least interesting!
Here is mine for the day….keeping the baby, who is now toddler, but still does not always understand the word, “NO!” nor does he have a clue as to why the computer on and off button should be kept on!

her computer —meaning it is my computer — the light was so tempting to press on and off, so I found a candy box lid and used the ever useful, duct tape, covering up the nice bright red …..”come here lil boy and touch me, touch me” button!
PS…actually, i saw this idea at the pediatrician’s office …they used an Altoids candy box lid! —sorry, I do not have an Altoids box, so can’t do any product placement!

His computer…. found a plastic piece for his Apple I Pod…a piece that no one needed, so here it found a good use…. Perfect shape, for where you see the gap, is where you can carefully slip a finger in to turn the computer on and off……. something that he said, he needed to do more often than I for my computer’s use! Yes, duct tape for the final……installation!

Toddler proof — at least for our toddler! He was constantly pressing the buttons on and off….so again, a box, plastic, it originally housed his baby sunglasses and was indeed the perfect cover all shape! Duct tape used again, of course!
Helps to have a good eye to think quick what will work and yes, good to have odd things around that have no intended use and quite frankly were saved from a useless heap pile or the garbage!
Stay tuned for more, of my life hacks….there are lots, and if you can not use them for the moment, just maybe you will use them later or improvise what you saw here!
